Vikran Engineering bags Rs 2,000 crore solar projects order in Maharashtra

Vikran Engineering on Wednesday said it has secured an order worth over Rs 2,000 crore to develop 600 MW of solar power projects across Maharashtra.

The order has been awarded by Onix Renewables and will be executed over a period of 12 months on a turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis, the company said in a statement.

Under the contract, Vikran Engineering will undertake end-to-end activities, including design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the solar projects, which together account for 600 MW AC capacity at multiple locations in the state.

The scope of work also includes the supply of key components such as solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and inverters, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion of the projects.

The order is expected to further strengthen Vikran Engineering’s presence in the renewable energy sector and contribute to India’s expanding solar power capacity as part of its clean energy transition goals.
