AbhiBus Partners with OSRTC to Expand Digital Access to State Transport in Odisha

AbhiBus, the bus division of ixigo and one of India’s leading online bus ticketing platforms, has partnered with the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) to expand digital access to state-run bus services in Odisha.

The collaboration aims to make government bus services more accessible to millions of passengers across the state by enabling digital bookings, secure payments, and real-time bus tracking through the AbhiBus platform.

OSRTC, operating under the Transport & Commerce Department of the Odisha Government, connects over 130 cities, towns, and business hubs within Odisha and 68 cities outside the state. The corporation currently runs 4,800 daily services with a fleet of 577 intercity and interstate buses.

A key feature of OSRTC’s network is the Mukhyamantri Bus Seva (MBS), which links more than 6,720 Gram Panchayats through 1,422 rural buses, making it one of the most inclusive public transport systems in India.

With this partnership, OSRTC’s intercity, interstate, and rural services will be available on AbhiBus, offering passengers a convenient and reliable way to book tickets online. Travellers can also access multiple bus categories, check schedules, and track their journeys digitally.

Officials said the move would not only boost digital adoption among passengers but also strengthen OSRTC’s outreach by integrating with AbhiBus’ nationwide user base.

The partnership reflects a growing trend of state transport undertakings leveraging digital platforms to improve service delivery and enhance the travel experience for passengers.
