Two Arrested in Kochi for Attempting to Deliver Ganja Smuggled from Odisha
In a joint operation, Kochi police arrested two individuals on Friday while they were attempting to deliver a consignment of ganja smuggled from Odisha by train.

The accused have been identified as Duryathana Malik (30) from Odisha and Sachin K Binu (24), a resident of Maradu near Kochi. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended the duo near Ernakulam Junction Railway Station and seized 5.150 kg of ganja from their possession.

Officials said the contraband had been transported via train from Odisha, and the suspects were caught red-handed while trying to distribute it locally.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to trace the source and network behind the smuggling operation.
