India-New Zealand Ties Strengthen, Says Luxon

India-New Zealand Partnership Strengthens, Says PM Luxon
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has highlighted the strengthening partnership between India and New Zealand, calling India an “increasingly important nation” during his visit this week.
Concluding his India trip, Luxon expressed optimism about bilateral relations, particularly with the launch of negotiations for a comprehensive free trade agreement (FTA) between the two countries.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 17, both leaders held extensive discussions, leading to an ambitious pact to institutionalize defence ties and enhance cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
Luxon’s visit marks a significant step in deepening economic and strategic engagements between India and New Zealand, paving the way for stronger collaboration in trade, security, and regional stability.
