Naveen Patnaik Pays Tribute to Biju Patnaik on 28th Death Anniversary

Bhubaneswar, April 17 :On the 28th death anniversary of Biju Patnaik, BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik paid tribute to the legendary leader, emphasizing his unparalleled contributions to Indian politics, particularly his work in strengthening the Panchayati Raj system and empowering women. Patnaik remarked, “No one can forget Biju Babu’s contribution”, as he remembered his father’s role in shaping Odisha and India.

Speaking at Sankha Bhawan, the BJD party office, Patnaik highlighted that Biju Patnaik had always been a proud Odia and was dedicated to making Odisha the best state in the country. He pointed out that the BJD government has made significant strides in fulfilling Biju Babu’s dream, with numerous initiatives leading to national and international recognition for Odisha’s progress.

While expressing pride in the work accomplished, Patnaik voiced his frustration over efforts by some individuals to downplay or distort Biju Patnaik’s historical contributions. He declared, “History is the manifestation of the collective experience of a nation, and no one can change it”.

Patnaik urged that instead of focusing on undermining historical achievements, the state should work towards writing new chapters in its development journey. He emphasized that development should remain the top priority for Odisha’s future.
