11 Flights Cancelled at Srinagar Airport

11 Flights Cancelled at Srinagar Airport Due to Bad Weather

At least 11 flights were cancelled on Sunday at Srinagar International Airport following adverse weather conditions across the Kashmir Valley, officials said.

An official of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) confirmed that flight operations were disrupted due to snowfall in the upper reaches and moderate rainfall in the plains. “We had 11 flights cancelled today at Srinagar airport due to bad weather,” the official told PTI.

In addition, two flights scheduled to arrive in Srinagar were cancelled owing to unfavourable weather conditions at Jammu and Delhi airports, further affecting air connectivity to the Valley.

Officials said the continuous change in weather conditions impacted visibility and runway safety, leading to precautionary cancellations. Passengers have been advised to check flight status with airlines before heading to the airport.

Weather conditions in Kashmir remained unstable, with fresh snowfall reported from higher-altitude areas, while intermittent rainfall continued in the plains. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as winter conditions intensify in the region.
