Born as Hutoxi Reporter, she adopted the screen name Madhumati after the release of Dilip Kumar’s iconic film “Madhumati”. She rose to fame in the 1950s and 60s for her captivating dance performances, excelling in both Kathak and contemporary Western styles.
Madhumati also trained several Bollywood stars, including Akshay Kumar, Chunky Pandey, Tabu, and Sonam Kapoor, helping shape their on-screen dance prowess.
