Tata Motors Global Sales Dip 3%

Tata Motors Global Wholesales Dip 3% to 3.66 Lakh Units in Q4 FY25
Tata Motors on Tuesday reported a 3% year-on-year decline in its group global wholesales for the fourth quarter of FY25, totaling 3,66,177 units, including sales from its luxury vehicle arm Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).
In a regulatory statement, the company revealed that global passenger vehicle wholesales, including electric vehicles (EVs), stood at 1,46,999 units, reflecting a 6% drop compared to the same quarter in FY24.
Jaguar Land Rover Records Modest Growth
Despite the overall dip, Tata Motors’ British subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover posted a 1% increase in wholesales, reaching 1,11,413 units in Q4 FY25. The breakdown shows Jaguar contributing 7,070 units, while Land Rover accounted for 1,04,343 units.
This modest growth in JLR sales offered a cushion to the group’s overall decline, especially as the company navigates evolving global auto demand and supply chain challenges.
Commercial Vehicles and Market Outlook
Although the statement did not break down commercial vehicle figures for the quarter, Tata Motors’ performance in this segment has been under scrutiny as global macroeconomic conditions and demand fluctuations affect the broader automotive market.
The auto major continues to push forward with its EV strategy and premium offerings, both in domestic and international markets.
