Sudarshan Pattnaik Pays Tribute to Zubeen Garg Through Sand Art at Puri Beach

Puri, Oct 9 : Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarshan Pattnaik paid a heartfelt tribute to the late singer Zubeen Garg with a sand sculpture at Puri Beach, Odisha, carrying the message “Justice for Zubeen Garg.”

Expressing grief over the untimely demise of the beloved artist, Pattnaik said that Zubeen’s passing has left a profound void in the hearts of millions.

The six-foot-long sculpture, created with approximately eight tons of sand, depicted Zubeen Garg’s portrait along with a call for truth and transparency in the ongoing investigation into his death. Students from Pattnaik’s Sand Art Institute also participated in creating the tribute.

“As an artist, this is my way of expressing deep respect for Zubeen Garg and standing with everyone mourning his loss,” Pattnaik said. He urged people to remain calm and united, noting that the Government of Assam has already initiated an inquiry.

“I have full faith that the truth will prevail and those responsible will be brought to justice. I appeal to everyone to maintain peace and patience,” he added.

Through his creation, Pattnaik expressed solidarity with millions of fans across the country and emphasized the importance of ensuring justice while preserving the dignity of Zubeen Garg’s legacy.
