Prasad urges KSCA to hold elections

Venkatesh Prasad Urges KSCA Committee to Announce Election Dates
Former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad on Monday called on the current administrators of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to announce the dates for the long-pending elections, urging them not to delay the process by citing technicalities in the by-laws.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Prasad said the association’s functioning has been hampered due to the delay in holding elections and that it is imperative for a new committee to take charge to restore order.
“We have all been waiting for the election announcement to happen. It was supposed to take place long ago, and by now, a new committee should have been running the association,” Prasad said during a media interaction.
Prasad was joined by seasoned administrator Vinay Mruthyunjaya and former India women’s team captain Shanta Rangaswamy, both of whom echoed his concern, stating that the KSCA needs immediate administrative clarity to end the ongoing uncertainty.
The trio emphasised that timely elections are vital to uphold transparency, accountability, and smooth governance within the state’s cricketing framework.
