Prime Minister Modi Offers Prayers at Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday evening visited the historic Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib and offered prayers at the revered Gurudwara, one of the five Takhts of Sikhism.
Describing the visit as a deeply spiritual experience, the Prime Minister said it was “a very divine experience to pray at the Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib.” He added that the noble teachings of the Sikh Gurus continue to inspire humanity across generations.
Shri Modi highlighted the profound connection of the Gurudwara with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, noting that his courage, compassion, and commitment to justice remain a source of immense inspiration.
The Prime Minister also shared glimpses from his visit on X (formerly Twitter), writing,
“It was a very divine experience to pray at the Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib this evening. The noble teachings of the Sikh Gurus motivate the entire humankind. This Gurudwara has a very close association with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose courage and commitment to justice are greatly inspiring.”
The Prime Minister’s visit underscored his reverence for India’s rich spiritual traditions and the enduring message of equality, service, and righteousness embodied in the teachings of the Sikh Gurus.
