Over 1,000 Forest Fires in Himachal Pradesh This Summer; Property Worth Rs 3 Crore Damaged
The summer season in Himachal Pradesh has witnessed a significant number of forest fires, with reports indicating 1,038 incidents thus far. On Wednesday alone, 25 new fires were reported, adding to the state’s firefighting challenges.
Officials have estimated property damage amounting to approximately Rs 3 crore due to these fires. Fortunately, there have been no casualties reported, as confirmed by Assistant Chief Conservator of Forests Pushpinder Rana.
