Odisha Police Arrests Another Accused in Fake Certificate Racket
In a significant development, Odisha Police on Monday arrested another individual in connection with the fake matriculation certificate racket in Koraput district. The accused, identified as Chhanda Charan Sahoo, has been taken into custody, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to eight.
Sahoo allegedly forged his matriculation certificate to apply for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak, thereby depriving genuine aspirants of their right to the job, according to the police. This arrest follows the apprehension of seven others who were previously implicated in the same case.
The police continue to investigate the extent of the racket, aiming to identify and apprehend all individuals involved in the fraudulent activities.
