Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that the Odisha government aims to plant five crore saplings as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Ped, Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. The campaign encourages individuals to plant saplings and share photos of their efforts.

“The ‘Ek Ped, Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is gaining momentum nationwide, and Odisha is actively participating,” stated the Chief Minister. He highlighted that Odisha leads with 1.48 lakh uploaded photos, surpassing other states including Kerala.

This initiative aims to enhance green cover and environmental awareness, with citizens contributing to the nation’s sustainability goals through individual tree planting efforts.
