Odisha Mourns as Bodies of Kuwait Fire Victims Return to Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, June 15: The mortal remains of Muhammad Jahur and Santosh Kumar Gouda, two individuals from Odisha who tragically lost their lives in a fire incident in Kuwait, arrived in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning.
The bodies were received at Biju Patnaik International Airport by Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, who paid floral tributes to the deceased. The dignitaries expressed their condolences to the bereaved families and acknowledged the loss of two valuable lives.
Following the tribute ceremony at the airport, the bodies were transported to their respective native villages. Family members and local residents gathered to pay their respects and perform the last rites according to their customs.
The tragic incident in Kuwait has left the families and communities of Muhammad Jahur and Santosh Kumar Gouda in deep mourning. The state government has assured all possible support to the affected families during this difficult time.
Local authorities and representatives have also emphasized the need for enhanced safety measures for migrant workers abroad, aiming to prevent such incidents in the future.
