Odisha Launches Survey for PMAY-G Beneficiaries Selection

The Odisha government has launched a comprehensive survey to identify beneficiaries for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), aiming to provide ‘pucca’ (permanent) houses to all eligible families in the state. The survey was officially inaugurated on Friday by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, alongside Puri MP Sambit Patra, from Arjunsinghpur village in Pipili block of Puri district.

The initiative is part of the state’s efforts to fulfill the promise made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under PMAY-G, ensuring that every eligible family in Odisha receives a permanent home. The survey is set to continue for the next two months and will cover all eligible households as per the scheme’s guidelines.

Minister Naik emphasized that the survey will play a pivotal role in determining the families that meet the criteria for assistance under the central housing scheme. “This survey is an important step towards ensuring that no eligible family is left behind in the process of providing ‘pucca’ houses to all,” the minister said.

Key Highlights:

  • Survey Duration: Two months
  • Objective: Select beneficiaries for PMAY-G, providing permanent homes to eligible families.
  • Launch Location: Arjunsinghpur village, Pipili block, Puri district.

The Odisha government has set ambitious targets to accelerate housing development and ensure that everyone in the state has access to a quality, durable home, contributing to the broader national vision of housing for all.
