Odisha CM Urges Newly Recruited Officers to Prioritise Public Grievance Hearings
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on Thursday, called upon the state’s newly recruited government officers and employees to make public grievance redressal their top priority. Addressing 476 new appointees at the ‘Nijukti Mela’ programme, the CM underlined the importance of fulfilling the government’s duty to the people by effectively addressing their concerns.
In his speech, Majhi highlighted that the government represents the faith and trust of the people. “Addressing public grievances is not just an obligation, it is a fundamental responsibility. If your determination and efficiency can bring a smile to the face of the common man, then your appointment will be truly justified,” he remarked.
The CM’s message aimed to motivate the newly inducted officers and employees, urging them to approach their roles with dedication, empathy, and a commitment to solving the issues faced by the public. He stressed that responsive governance is the backbone of public trust, and by prioritising grievance hearings, the new recruits can contribute significantly to strengthening that trust.
The ‘Nijukti Mela’ programme, a significant recruitment initiative of the state government, continues to provide opportunities to young professionals while reinforcing the administration’s focus on public welfare.
The newly appointed officers were encouraged to act as a bridge between the government and the people, ensuring that public grievances are heard and addressed promptly. The CM’s call to action aligns with Odisha’s broader governance goals of transparency, accountability, and inclusive development.
This emphasis on grievance redressal reflects the state government’s commitment to responsive administration, ensuring that the needs of the common man are at the forefront of governance efforts.
