Maha Kumbh a Confluence of Faith, Tradition, Divinity: Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday described the Maha Kumbh as a sacred confluence of faith, tradition, and divinity after taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.

Accompanied by his wife, Puri MP Sambit Patra, and Odisha’s Advocate General Pitambar Acharya, the Chief Minister participated in the spiritual gathering and performed rituals at the revered confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.

“It is an extraordinary privilege and a deeply spiritual experience to witness the sacred Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj. It is a confluence of faith, tradition, and divinity,” Majhi said in a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

The Maha Kumbh, held once every 12 years, is one of the largest religious congregations in the world, attracting millions of devotees, saints, and spiritual leaders from across the country and beyond. The Chief Minister’s visit underscored Odisha’s rich cultural and spiritual ties with the historic event.

Majhi also extended his prayers for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Odisha, seeking divine blessings for the state’s progress and harmony.
