Odisha clears ₹4,111 crore investments, 10,000 jobs likely

The Odisha government on Tuesday approved 23 industrial investment proposals worth ₹4,111.80 crore, a move expected to generate nearly 10,000 employment opportunities across the state, officials said.

The proposals were cleared at the 144th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg.

According to officials, the approved projects cover a wide spectrum of sectors, including mechanical and electrical capital goods, apparel and textiles, aerospace and defence manufacturing, shipbuilding and ship repair, pharmaceuticals, refractories and aluminium downstream industries.

The clearances are expected to further strengthen Odisha’s industrial ecosystem, boost manufacturing activity and attract diversified investments, while contributing to job creation and economic growth in the state.
