NCDEX partners TCS for equity foray

The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) on Friday announced a long-term strategic partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to support its proposed entry into the equity and equity derivatives segments.

The exchange said TCS was selected after a comprehensive four-month evaluation process involving global solution providers. The engagement includes the deployment of an advanced equity and equity derivatives trading platform, which will be licensed for a 10-year period from the date it goes live.

Under the agreement, TCS will implement an enterprise-grade, scalable trading and market surveillance platform tailored to meet evolving regulatory and market requirements. The system is expected to strengthen NCDEX’s technological infrastructure and enhance its capabilities as it diversifies beyond commodities.

NCDEX stated that the collaboration marks a significant step in its growth strategy, enabling it to expand into new asset classes while maintaining robust risk management and compliance standards.

The partnership is aimed at ensuring a seamless and secure trading experience for market participants as the exchange prepares to enter the competitive equity segment.
