The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 commenced on December 30 at the Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt, with a traditional Sarv Dharm Pooja. The month-long camp features a variety of competitions and events, including the Best Cadet Competition, Small Arms Firing, Marching Contingent for the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, and Flag Area Designing.
This year, a record 2,406 cadets, including 898 girl cadets, from 28 states and 8 Union Territories are participating. Additionally, cadets and officers from 25 Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) are taking part under the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), promoting international camaraderie and cultural exchange.
Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, Director General NCC, welcomed the cadets and congratulated them on their selection. He encouraged them to demonstrate the highest qualities of character, integrity, selfless service, teamwork, and comradeship, transcending barriers of religion, language, and caste, in line with the spirit of ‘Nation First.’
The Republic Day Camp upholds the NCC’s motto of ‘Unity and Discipline,’ bringing together cadets from across India to instill patriotism, leadership, and discipline, while providing a platform for training and cultural interaction. This annual gathering remains one of the most prestigious events for NCC cadets nationwide.
