NCC Holds Two-Day ‘Varshik Niti Samvad Shivir’ in New Delhi
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) concluded its two-day ‘Varshik Niti Samvad Shivir’ in New Delhi on June 4-5, 2024, focusing on reviewing the ongoing expansion plan to meet youth aspirations as per government directives. The event was inaugurated by DG NCC Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh and attended by senior officials from NCC Directorates nationwide.
During the conference, DG NCC highlighted significant strides made in enhancing training, infrastructure, and logistics over the past year. He underscored the importance of institutionalized training to foster national building, social awareness, and community development. The NCC reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing responsible citizenship among youth, aligning with government policies aimed at achieving ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
The event took place at the newly-renovated Pratap Conference Hall, named after Cadet Sergeant Pratap Singh, honored posthumously with the Ashok Chakra Class III for bravery during firefighting operations in 1965.
