Kapil Dev Promises to Visit Vinod Kambli as He Recovers

Legendary cricketer Kapil Dev has expressed his support for former Indian batter Vinod Kambli, promising to visit him as soon as he recovers. Kambli, 52, was recently hospitalized in the ICU at a Thane hospital due to health complications, including a urinary infection, cramps, and later, the discovery of brain clots.

Kambli was admitted to the hospital on December 21, where doctors initially treated him for the infections. However, after further examination, they revealed the presence of clots in his brain, raising concerns about his condition.

On Wednesday, Kambli, though still physically frail, was discharged from the hospital, showing a positive outlook. He was seen posing for photographs with the hospital staff and even played a short game of cricket, indicating his resilient spirit.

Kapil Dev, deeply concerned about his former teammate’s health, conveyed his well wishes and promised to meet him soon. “We will meet when you get better,” Kapil said, showing solidarity and emotional support.

Kambli’s recovery journey has garnered widespread attention, with fans and fellow cricketers sending their prayers and best wishes for his quick recovery. The emotional bond shared between Kambli and Kapil highlights the camaraderie and friendship that goes beyond the cricket field.
