Junior Hockey: Men Secure Shootout Win Over Germany, Women Draw Against Orange Rood

India’s junior hockey teams wrapped up their European tour with notable performances, as the men’s team clinched a shootout victory over Germany and the women’s team played to a 2-2 draw against the Orange Rood club.

In a tightly contested match at the Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push on Wednesday, the Indian junior men’s team triumphed over Germany 3-1 in penalties after a 1-1 tie in regulation time. Mukesh Toppo scored off a rebound from a penalty corner in the 33rd minute to equalize, while Gurjot Singh, Dilraj Singh, and Manmeet Singh found the net during the shootout.

Meanwhile, the Indian junior women’s team fought hard to secure a 2-2 draw against the Orange Rood club, showcasing their resilience and skill throughout the match. The performances of both teams highlight their promising talent and potential on the international stage.
