Harshit Rana has potential to become a multi-format bowler for India: Coach Negi
Harshit Rana’s rapid rise in cricket may have surprised many, but not his coach, NS Negi, who has witnessed the youngster’s transformation into a pacer with the “potential to become a multi-format bowler for India.”
Harshit, who started as a net bowler with Gujarat Titans in 2022, played a pivotal role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL victory in 2024. He then made his international debut in the Border-Gavaskar Test series at Perth, where he impressed with figures of 48 for 3 in the first innings.
Negi, who coached Harshit during his U19 days in Delhi, expressed immense pride in seeing his ward thrive on a bouncy, seaming Perth pitch. “His performance has been exceptional, and he has all the qualities to succeed across formats,” said Negi.
