Piyush Goyal to Meet Swiss, Swedish Business Leaders to Boost Trade and Investment

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is set to visit Switzerland and Sweden from June 9 to 13, where he will engage with top business leaders and global CEOs to strengthen economic ties and promote bilateral trade and investments.

According to an official statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Goyal’s visit will begin in Bern, Switzerland. During his engagements, the minister will hold discussions with Swiss industry representatives to identify new opportunities for collaboration in key sectors including manufacturing, innovation, and technology.

Following his engagements in Switzerland, Goyal will travel to Sweden to meet with business leaders and policymakers. The discussions are expected to focus on deepening trade cooperation, facilitating investments, and promoting industrial partnerships, especially in the areas of green energy, smart manufacturing, and digital technologies.

The visit underscores India’s growing interest in building strategic economic partnerships with European nations and is aligned with the government’s broader goal of making India a global manufacturing and investment hub.
