Odisha Governor Visits Naveen Patnaik, Wishes Him Speedy Recovery

Bhubaneswar, Aug 25 : Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Sunday visited the residence of Leader of Opposition and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas to enquire about his health.

The Governor’s visit came in the wake of Patnaik’s recent hospitalisation due to dehydration. During the 15–20 minute meeting, the two leaders held a cordial and informal conversation.

Patnaik apprised the Governor about his recovery, while Dr. Kambhampati conveyed his good wishes. “I offer my prayers for Naveen Ji’s speedy recovery, good health, and long life,” the Governor said.

Earlier, on August 23, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had also met the BJD supremo at his residence to enquire about his health.

The 77-year-old former Chief Minister was admitted to a private hospital here on August 17 evening after he complained of dehydration. He was discharged after treatment and is currently recuperating at home.
