The inaugural session of the 17th Odisha assembly is scheduled to begin on July 22, marked by an address from Governor Raghubar Das. This session will continue until September 13, as per the notification issued by the assembly secretariat on Friday.

The discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor’s address will commence on the same day and conclude by July 24. Additionally, the election for the position of Deputy Speaker is slated for July 24.

This session is anticipated to set the legislative agenda and address key issues facing the state.
