ECoR Announces Train Cancellations, Diversions for Track Linking Work at Meramandali Station
Bhubaneswar, April 8: In a significant move to modernize infrastructure, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced temporary changes to train operations due to critical track linking and non-interlocking work at Meramandali Railway Station in Odisha. The development is part of the commissioning of the 3rd and 4th railway lines between Hindol Road and Meramandali stations, covering a stretch of 27.28 km in the Dhenkanal-Angul Railway Section.
To facilitate the smooth execution of this vital project, several train services will be either cancelled or diverted between April 13 and April 24, 2025. The railway authorities have stated that these changes are necessary to complete the track work efficiently while ensuring the safety and convenience of passengers.
ECoR has urged passengers to stay updated with the latest information regarding their train schedules and routes. Travelers are advised to check the official Indian Railways websites, visit nearby stations, or contact railway helplines before planning their journey during the affected period.
“The temporary suspension and diversion of services are aimed at minimizing public inconvenience while enabling us to carry out essential infrastructure upgrades,” said an ECoR spokesperson.
Passengers are requested to remain alert and informed to avoid disruptions to their travel plans.
