Domestic Air Traffic in India Rises to 1.32 Crore in April
Domestic air passenger traffic in India increased by 3.88 percent in April, reaching 1.32 crore, according to data released on Tuesday by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This is a rise from the 1.28 crore recorded in April of the previous year.
The DGCA data also highlighted that 1,370 passengers were affected by denied boarding in April. Airlines compensated these passengers with a total of Rs 136.23 lakh, covering both compensation and facilities provided.
This steady growth in air travel indicates a recovery trend in the aviation sector, reflecting increasing passenger confidence and demand for air travel.
