Diksha Dagar Eyes Strong Irish Finish

Diksha Dagar Targets Strong Finish at Irish Open Ahead of Season’s Final Major
Indian golfer Diksha Dagar is eyeing a strong performance at the upcoming KPMG Irish Open, viewing it as a crucial stepping stone toward the season’s final stretch, which includes the prestigious AIG Women’s Open—her last Major appearance of the year.
Currently ranked inside the Top 10 on the Ladies European Tour (LET), Diksha has shown consistent form throughout the season. She now hopes to carry that momentum into this week’s Irish Open as she gears up for two high-stakes tournaments: the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open and the AIG Women’s Open.
“This week’s event is part of my preparation for the Majors. It’s important to fine-tune all aspects of my game,” Diksha said, emphasizing her focus on rhythm and consistency.
The upcoming Scottish Open, which carries a prize purse of USD 2 million, and the USD 9.5 million AIG Women’s Open are both part of the LPGA calendar. A victory in the Scottish Open could also earn the winner a coveted LPGA Tour card—an additional incentive for players like Diksha aiming to break into the global elite.
Having represented India at multiple international platforms and won on the LET, Diksha remains one of the country’s most promising golf talents. Her growing international presence and steady performance this season have set the stage for a potentially career-defining finish.
With strong fields expected in both the Scottish and Women’s Open, Diksha’s campaign at the Irish Open this week will be watched closely as an indicator of her form going into the Majors.
