Dharmendra Pradhan Meets Nitish Kumar to Fast-Track NDA Seat-Sharing Talks
Patna, Sep 28 – Union Minister and BJP’s Bihar in-charge, Dharmendra Pradhan, today met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, signaling accelerated negotiations for finalising the NDA alliance’s seat-sharing formula ahead of upcoming elections. The meeting, held at One Anne Marg, was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and JD(U) working president Sanjay Jha.
According to party sources, discussions focused on election preparedness, joint campaign strategy, and formalising the seat-sharing arrangement. The meeting is seen as a step towards concrete deliberations between the alliance partners.
BJP is reportedly prioritising organisational expansion and introducing new faces, while JD(U) is relying on Nitish Kumar’s leadership and popularity as its main electoral strength.
Pradhan, who successfully managed BJP’s 2020 Bihar campaign, has been tasked with balancing the interests of both parties and ensuring NDA unity. Further rounds of talks between BJP and JD(U) representatives are expected in the coming weeks, which could lead to an early breakthrough on the alliance’s seat-sharing plan.
This development sets the stage for a coordinated NDA strategy in Bihar, with both parties aiming for a strong joint electoral front.
