A CRPF jawan was arrested on Monday for allegedly molesting two women in the Chitpur area of Kolkata, an official reported. The incident took place on Sunday night when the jawan was returning from election duty in Baruipur, located in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.

According to the police, the jawan arrived at the Kolkata railway station on Sunday night, where he was scheduled to board a special train. Instead, he allegedly entered a house adjacent to the station and molested two sisters who were sleeping inside.

An officer stated, “The CRPF jawan was arrested after the victims reported the incident. The accused had just returned from election duty and was supposed to board a train from Kolkata station.”

The incident has sparked outrage in the local community, raising concerns about the safety and conduct of security personnel. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, and the jawan is currently in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
