Anvitha Narender Secures Impressive Victory in 8th Leg of WPGT
Anvitha Narender showcased remarkable skill and composure to claim a commanding seven-shot victory in the eighth leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at the Bangalore Golf Club.
From the outset, Anvitha maintained a strong position at the top, eventually finishing with a total score of 8-under 210 after impressive rounds of 69, 65, and 68. This victory comes in only her second professional tournament, following a notable T-8 finish in her debut just a week earlier.
The New Jersey-born golfer outshone the competition with consistent performance and resilience, leaving amateur Lavanya Jadon in second place at 1-under 209. Despite challenges, including a rough start, Jadon held on with a final round of 73.
Another standout performer was Vidhatri Urs, also in her second professional event, who shot a commendable 68 on the day. Despite a double-bogey and a bogey towards the end, Urs’ strong play underscored her potential in the professional circuit.
