Andhra Pradesh Government Signs MoU with NaBFID for Infrastructure Advisory in Amaravati

In a significant move to accelerate infrastructure development in Andhra Pradesh’s capital city, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) for Transaction Advisory Services (TAS).

The agreement was formalized in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, marking a major step towards building a robust financial framework for Amaravati’s infrastructure projects.

As part of this collaboration, NaBFID will act as a strategic advisor, supporting the APCRDA in designing high-impact financial blueprints for upcoming development initiatives in the capital region. The bank will assist in structuring and evaluating a range of implementation models, particularly Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), to ensure efficient execution and long-term sustainability of projects.

Additionally, the advisory services will include identifying diverse revenue streams, assessing financial viability, and exploring land monetization options to support large-scale urban and infrastructure development in Amaravati.

Speaking at the MoU signing event, officials emphasized the importance of bringing in professional financial guidance to unlock the city’s full development potential. “This partnership will not only strengthen Amaravati’s infrastructure vision but also ensure prudent financial planning and execution,” a senior official from APCRDA stated.

NaBFID, India’s premier development finance institution, was established to provide long-term funding for critical infrastructure projects. Its association with APCRDA is expected to boost investor confidence and pave the way for smart, sustainable growth in the capital region.

The Chief Minister lauded the partnership and reiterated his government’s commitment to making Amaravati a world-class capital city driven by innovation, sustainability, and efficient governance.
