Ana de Armas’ Ballerina Releases June 13

The much-anticipated “Ballerina,” a spin-off set in the gritty universe of the John Wick saga, is slated to hit Indian cinemas on June 13, PVRINOX Pictures announced Tuesday. Originally earmarked for a June 6 debut, the film will now roll out one week later, offering fans an expanded window to experience Ana de Armas’s lethal new protagonist on the big screen.

Directed by Len Wiseman, “Ballerina” takes place chronologically between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), deepening the mythology of the Continental and its network of assassins. De Armas stars as Rooney, a highly trained operative on a path of revenge against those who destroyed her family. The action-thriller promises Wiseman’s signature blend of sleek style and high-octane combat, with de Armas showcasing both balletic grace and lethal precision.

PVRINOX Pictures will release “Ballerina” in four language tracks—English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu—ensuring accessibility for diverse Indian audiences. Special screenings and premiere events are expected in major metros, with advance bookings opening later this week.

The new release date aligns “Ballerina” closer to other major summer blockbusters, positioning the film to capitalize on mid-June footfalls. Industry analysts suggest that the one-week postponement may help avoid clashes with domestic franchises and local festival periods, maximizing its box office potential.

As anticipation builds, fans of the John Wick universe are eager to see how Rooney’s story weaves into the larger tapestry of the franchise. With Keanu Reeves’s Wick still at large in the timeline, “Ballerina” represents the next chapter in a world where every alleyway and hotel ballroom conceals a deadly secret.
