Amit Shah to Launch Scheme Offering 50% Subsidy on Nano-Fertilisers
Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to launch a new central scheme aimed at providing 50% subsidy to farmers for purchasing nano-fertilisers during the current fiscal year.
The scheme, known as AGR-2, will be officially unveiled at a conference in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, coinciding with the 102nd International Day of Cooperatives on July 6. This event also marks the third foundation day of the Union Ministry of Cooperation, according to an official statement.
As part of the launch ceremony, Minister Amit Shah will personally facilitate payments to three farmers benefiting from the scheme. Additionally, he will inaugurate ‘Bharat organic wheat flour (atta)’ produced by the National Cooperative Organics Ltd., further emphasizing the government’s commitment to promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
The initiative aims to enhance farm productivity and sustainability by encouraging the adoption of nano-fertilisers, which are known for their efficient nutrient delivery and environmental benefits.
