Indian Rifle and Pistol Team for Paris Olympics Announced; Manu Bhaker Secures Dual Individual Slots

The Indian national shooting federation revealed its 15-member rifle and pistol team for the upcoming Paris Olympics, with women’s pistol prodigy Manu Bhaker earning selection in two individual events following her impressive performances in selection trials.
Selected via a virtual meeting, the squad comprises eight rifle shooters and seven pistol athletes, reflecting a balanced representation across disciplines. The decision-making process prioritized trial outcomes, notably omitting world champion Rudrankksh Patil, despite his earlier quota-winning success, due to recent performance inconsistencies.
Manu Bhaker’s dual selection underscores her stellar form and versatility, positioning her as a key contender in India’s Olympic campaign. With preparations intensifying, the team aims to capitalize on its depth and skill in pursuit of podium finishes in Paris.
