Odisha CM Visits Statue Of Unity During Gujarat Tour
NARMADA (GUJARAT), May 7: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday visited the iconic Statue of Unity in Gujarat’s Narmada district and described it as a powerful symbol of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”.
Majhi is currently on a three-day business visit to Gujarat aimed at strengthening industrial cooperation and exploring investment opportunities for Odisha.
During his visit to the world’s tallest statue, dedicated to India’s first Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Odisha Chief Minister praised the vision behind the landmark project.
“The Statue of Unity, built under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has become a matter of pride for the entire nation,” Majhi said.
He further stated that the monument represents the spirit of national unity and stands as a living embodiment of the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India).
Officials accompanying the Chief Minister said the visit formed part of his broader engagement with Gujarat’s industrial and development initiatives during the tour.
The Statue of Unity, located on the banks of the Narmada River, has emerged as one of India’s most prominent tourist attractions and a symbol of national integration since its inauguration in 2018.
