CM disburses ₹838 crore to farmers

₹838 Cr Disbursed to 41 Lakh Farmers Under CM-KISAN in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, April 20: In a significant boost to the agricultural community, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday disbursed over ₹838 crore to 41.68 lakh farmers under the fourth instalment of the CM-KISAN Yojana.
The funds were released during the state-level Krushak Divas 2026 celebration held at the Central Rice Research Institute in Cuttack. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo, who also oversees the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department.
Addressing the gathering, Majhi reiterated the state government’s commitment to strengthening farmers’ livelihoods through direct financial assistance and policy support. He highlighted that the CM-KISAN scheme continues to play a vital role in ensuring timely financial aid, especially during crucial agricultural cycles.
Krushak Divas is observed in Odisha on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, marking the beginning of the farming season. Celebrations were held across the state, recognizing the contributions of farmers and promoting agricultural development.
The latest disbursement underscores the government’s ongoing efforts to empower farmers and enhance rural prosperity in Odisha.
