Aamir Confirms Talks With Lokesh Continue

Aamir Khan Confirms Discussions With Lokesh Kanagaraj Still Underway
Actor Aamir Khan clarified on Saturday that discussions with acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for a possible film collaboration are still ongoing, countering recent speculation that the project had been shelved.
Reports had suggested that the ambitious action film— expected to mark Kanagaraj’s Bollywood debut — was called off after Aamir’s cameo appearance in the filmmaker’s latest release Coolie received a lukewarm response. However, Aamir dismissed these claims, confirming that talks remain active and no decision has been taken to drop the project. He also noted that no official announcement had been made earlier, making the cancellation rumours premature.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of Tamil cinema’s most sought-after directors, celebrated for crafting high-octane blockbusters such as “Vikram” starring Kamal Haasan, “Leo” and “Master” with Vijay, and the critically acclaimed “Kaithi” featuring Karthi. His potential collaboration with Aamir has generated significant anticipation among fans across industries.
While the project’s future remains undecided, both sides are reportedly continuing creative discussions, keeping hopes alive for a major Bollywood–Tamil industry crossover collaboration.
