IndiGo Cancels 400 Flights Amid Disruptions

IndiGo Cancels Over 400 Flights Across Major Airports Amid Duty Norms Disruption
Domestic carrier IndiGo cancelled over 400 flights across four major airports on Saturday, a day after receiving temporary relaxations in the second phase of court-mandated flight duty time and rest period norms for cockpit crew, according to sources.

Bengaluru and Mumbai were among the worst affected. At Bengaluru airport, a total of 124 flights were cancelled, including 63 departures and 61 arrivals. Mumbai airport saw 109 cancellations, comprising 51 departures and 58 arrivals.

The disruption also extended to the national capital, with 106 flights—54 departures and 52 arrivals—being cancelled at Delhi airport. In Hyderabad, IndiGo scrapped 66 flights, further adding to the nationwide travel chaos.

The large-scale cancellations come as the airline continues to adjust operations to comply with evolving duty and rest regulations for pilots. Further updates from IndiGo on service restoration are awaited.
