Farhan Akhtar Seeks Tax-Free Status

Farhan Akhtar Hopes ‘120 Bahadur’ Is Made Tax-Free to Reach Wider Audience
Actor Farhan Akhtar has expressed hope that his latest war drama, 120 Bahadur, will be granted tax-free status across India, allowing more people to watch what he describes as an “important” and emotionally resonant film.
The action-packed drama, released on November 21, is set during the 1962 India-China war and pays tribute to the courage of Indian soldiers. The film was screened on Friday at the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Panaji.
Speaking on the IFFI red carpet, Akhtar said the story carries deep national significance. “I do believe this is a film for every Indian and that every Indian should watch it to remember the heroes of our past, because we tend to forget what happened before us,” he told PTI.
120 Bahadur aims to bring historical events to life through a powerful narrative, blending action with heartfelt storytelling to honour the bravery of those who served.
