OKCL Celebrates 14 Years of Transformation

OKCL Marks 14th Anniversary, Sets Ambitious Goals for Digital Transformation
Bhubaneswar, Sept 14 – Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL), a state government enterprise under the Electronics and Information Technology (E&IT) Department, celebrated its 14th anniversary with a focus on strengthening digital inclusion and transformation across Odisha.
The event, attended by the company’s management and staff, highlighted OKCL’s achievements over the years and laid out its future roadmap. The celebrations began with a specially produced short film that showcased key milestones, including initiatives in digital literacy, teacher training, e-governance projects, digital learning content for school children, and women’s empowerment.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Dr Manoranjan Puthal reflected on OKCL’s journey and lauded the dedication of its staff and partners. “We must redouble our efforts so that no citizen, in any corner of Odisha, is left behind in the digital revolution,” he said, urging the team to work with renewed energy.
Established as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) by the Odisha government, OKCL has emerged as one of the state’s foremost technology-driven organisations. Over the past 14 years, the company has trained over 3 lakh learners, set up more than 750 centres across all districts, and empowered students, teachers, and job seekers with essential digital skills.
Looking forward, OKCL has outlined plans to expand its outreach in rural areas, enhance women’s empowerment initiatives, and strengthen skill development programs for the youth, reaffirming its commitment to driving inclusive growth through technology.
The event concluded on a note of inspiration, as OKCL reaffirmed its mission to ensure that digital empowerment reaches every household in the state.
