Dharmendra Pradhan to Visit UAE; IIM Ahmedabad Dubai Campus to be Inaugurated

New Delhi, Sep 9: Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will embark on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 10–11, 2025, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, fostering innovation, and building world-class academic partnerships.

During the visit, Shri Pradhan will hold talks with UAE leaders, policymakers, academicians, and institutional representatives to expand collaboration in education and innovation ecosystems. The agenda includes exploring new avenues of cooperation to meet the aspirations of students and youth in both countries.

On September 10, the Minister will meet H.E. Ms. Sara Musallam, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). He will also visit the IIT Delhi–Abu Dhabi Campus to inaugurate the first foreign Atal Incubation Centre and launch its PhD and B.Tech programmes. Interactions with students and faculty members are also scheduled.

Later in the day, Shri Pradhan will offer prayers at the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi and attend the first anniversary celebrations of Symbiosis University’s Dubai Campus.

A key highlight of the visit will be on September 11, when Shri Pradhan and UAE Minister of Higher Education H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar jointly inaugurate the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) Dubai Campus. The two leaders will also deliberate on ongoing collaborations and future opportunities in the education sector.

The Minister will further engage in a Round Table Conference of Indian higher education institutions in the UAE. His Dubai engagements include participating in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation drive at the Indian Consulate, interacting with CBSE school principals during Teachers’ Day celebrations, and launching Atal Tinkering Labs in Indian schools across the UAE.

Shri Pradhan will conclude his visit with an interaction with the Indian diaspora in Dubai, reaffirming India’s commitment to building strong academic and cultural linkages with the UAE.
