Shriram Life Insurance Partners with Muthoot Mercantile to Expand Nationwide Distribution Network

In a major move to expand life insurance accessibility across India, Shriram Life Insurance Company Limited (SLIC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Muthoot Mercantile Ltd. (MML), a trusted Kerala-based Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) known for its robust gold loan services.

Under this collaboration, Muthoot Mercantile will offer Shriram Life’s suite of insurance products through its extensive branch network, significantly enhancing outreach and enabling more customers to access affordable and reliable life insurance solutions.

This alliance is a key part of SLIC’s mission to broaden insurance penetration, particularly in underserved markets. Leveraging MML’s widespread footprint of 307 branches, including 85 in Kerala and others across Odisha, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu, the partnership is expected to create new opportunities for financial security and protection for thousands of customers.

Founded in Kozhencherry, Kerala in 1949, MML became an RBI-registered NBFC in 2002 and has since developed a reputation for financial reliability and customer-centric services. By joining forces with Shriram Life, it now takes a significant step into the insurance sector.
