Odisha to Boost Adventure Tourism to Attract Domestic and Foreign Visitors

The Odisha government has unveiled plans to develop and promote adventure tourism destinations across the state, aiming to attract young travellers from within India as well as international tourists.

The decision was formalized with the finalization of the Odisha Adventure Tourism Guidelines-2025 during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday evening in Bhubaneswar.

Under the vision of “Think India, Think Odisha,” the state government plans to develop a variety of tourism projects that focus on adventure activities, leveraging Odisha’s natural landscapes and cultural heritage.

Chief Minister Majhi emphasized that these initiatives will not only boost the tourism sector but also create employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth. The move aims to position Odisha as a premier destination for adventure tourism, attracting a younger demographic eager for thrilling and experiential travel.

The guidelines will provide a framework for sustainable development of adventure tourism, ensuring safety, environmental conservation, and community participation while offering exciting experiences to visitors.
