NSUI Launches ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ Campaign in Odisha
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress, launched its ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ campaign in Odisha on Thursday. The campaign is part of a nationwide initiative to highlight issues related to the Constitution, freedom fighters, and growing concerns over alleged insults to these by BJP leaders and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
The event began with a rally at Master Canteen Square, led by NSUI national president Varun Choudhary. Following the rally, the members marched to AG Square, where they paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by garlanding his statue.
Speaking at the event, Choudhary criticized the BJP and the RSS, accusing them of disrespecting the Constitution and the nation’s freedom fighters. “This campaign aims to raise awareness about the continuous attacks on our democracy, values, and the Constitution by BJP leaders and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat,” he said.
NSUI members vowed to continue their efforts to protect the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution. They also pledged to raise awareness among students and the youth about the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and other national icons who laid the foundation of modern India.
The campaign is expected to be taken to other parts of Odisha in the coming days, with similar rallies and programs planned to engage more students and citizens.
