UPI Becomes Synonymous With ‘Easy’ for Millions of Indians: Odisha CM
Bhubaneswar, Aug 25: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday said the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has become synonymous with “Easy” for millions of Indians, transforming the way people make digital payments.
In a post on social media platform X, Majhi said India had embarked on a journey a decade ago to make digital payments simpler and more accessible to people.
“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UPI has transformed digital payments into a seamless part of everyday life, making transactions quick, convenient and inclusive,” he said.
The Chief Minister said what began as a payment platform has evolved into a people-powered digital revolution, reaching millions of people across the country.
“From a roadside stall to a modern enterprise, from villages to cities, UPI has made every transaction just a scan away,” Majhi said.
As UPI completes 10 years, India is celebrating a decade-long journey in which digital payments have added momentum to the Digital India initiative, he said.
Majhi said UPI has helped build a more connected, empowered and self-reliant India by making digital transactions easier and more accessible to people across the country.
