Tamil film ‘Baththa’, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Lijomol Jose, is set to hit screens worldwide on October 1.
Presented by Panorama Studios and Zee Studios, the film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain and Ajit Andhare, according to a press release.
Directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, ‘Baththa’ is set against the backdrop of the 1980s and explores a gritty and dangerous vintage crime world. The period setting and crime-driven storyline are expected to form the core of the film.
The movie marks another major project for Vijay Sethupathi, who has established himself as one of the prominent performers in Tamil cinema. Lijomol Jose also features in a key role in the film.
With its global release scheduled for October 1, ‘Baththa’ is gearing up to bring its period crime narrative to audiences across markets.
